2017 – 10 years!!

Come on out for the 10th Annual Culpeper Cycling Century (CCC) on Saturday, October 7th!

 

2017 is the 10th year of this event – to celebrate we have BRAND NEW routes.

Only 500 participants will be accepted.
The CCC is a small intimate ride – with a maximum of 500 participants – that boasts great scenic beauty and paved road riding in Culpeper County during the most colorful season – Fall! The routes take cyclist through Culpeper, Rappahannock, and Fauquier Counties, providing beautiful views of scenic back roads and rolling farms. You may even catch sight of a few buffalo on your travels.

Cyclist will enjoy rest stops approximately every 20miles with friendly and knowledgeable volunteers, a selection of snacks and water/Gatorade.  The 60/100 mile cyclist have the option of a box lunch at the finish line.

Be sure to bring the family! While you’re out enjoying the countryside, there’s plenty for them to do in Culpeper.  Visit the wonderful and unique shops on Davis Street in Downtown Culpeper or enjoy touring some of the local farms as part of the Farm Tour event also taking place this weekend.
Road bikes, hybrids or mountain bikes are suitable for this event.

The 30 mile route has some hills but has been chosen with the less experienced cyclists in mind.  (Ages 11yrs & up – Ages 11-17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while riding.)

The 60 mile course offers a few more rolling hills, and a couple of technical climbs for interest.  (Ages 16 & up, Ages 16-17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while riding.)

The 102 mile course provides amazing views with a challenge, approximately 5600ft. of total assent. (Ages 16 & up, Ages 16-17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while riding.)

All proceeds from this ride will be donated to the Culpeper Recreation Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit, as they strive to achieve their mission of promoting recreation in Culpeper County. Your registration fee will go towards the construction of a new inclusive playgrounds at the Culpeper Sports Complex.

If you pre-registered, and are local you can pick up your t-shirt after 9am.  If you pre-registered and are not local, email us at Parks@CulpeperCounty.gov by Wednesday, 10/5/16 to make arrangements to pick up / have your shirt mailed.
