This year we have listened to your requests and will not be doing the group start.

Once you check in / register you may start your ride anytime BETWEEN 8:00am-9:00am.

 

The rest stops & support vehicles will be operating based on all cyclists starting between 8:00am-9:00am.  If you start before or after this time, rest stops & support vehicles may not be available.

 

Don’t forget to register by Sunday September 8th online to guarentee your event t-shirt size!!!

2019 Registration Opening

Registration for the 2019 – 12th Annual Culpeper Cycling Century is opening on Friday January 4th!

 

Register by July 1st and SAVE $20.00 off the day of registration price AND guarantee your event t-shirt size.

Come join us for this fun and intimate ride.  Only 500 registrations are accepted.   Culpeper is a beautiful and unique town to visit any time but especially in the Fall.  Choose from 30, 60, or 100 miles of paved road riding in the scenic piedmont region of Virginia.  (exact course mileage may vary once routes are finalized).  The routes take cyclist through Culpeper, Madison, and Fauquier Counties, providing beautiful views of scenic back roads and rolling farms. You may even catch sight of a few buffalo on your travels.

Rest stops are provided approximately every 25 miles on the 100 &  60mile routes, and 15 miles on the 30 mile route.

 

Be sure to bring the family! While you’re out enjoying the countryside, there’s plenty for them to do in Culpeper.  Including visiting the wonderful and unique shops on Davis Street in Downtown Culpeper.

Road bikes, hybrids or mountain bikes are suitable for this event.

The 30 mile route has some hills and great scenery.    (Ages 11yrs & up – Ages 11-17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while riding.)

The 60 mile course offers a few more rolling hills, and a couple of technical climbs for interest.  (Ages 16 & up, Ages 16-17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while riding.)

The 100 mile course provides amazing views with a challenge, approximately 5300ft. of total assent. (Ages 16 & up, Ages 16-17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while riding.)

 

All proceeds from this ride will be donated to the Culpeper Recreation Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit, as they strive to achieve their mission of promoting recreation in Culpeper County. Your registration fee will go towards new recreational amenities for the county.

 

If we reach 500 participants before the day of the event there will be NO day of registration.  So don’t wait Sign up Today!

Race Day

The CCC – a GROUP start – will begin at 8:30am at the Culpeper Baptist Church at 318 S. West Street in Culpeper. A police escort will take you out of downtown and on your way to a beautiful ride thru the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Rest stops are located approximately every 25 miles and will be stocked with water, Gatorade, food, and friendly volunteers.  See Rest Stop tab for exact locations.

The course is marked – 2 arrows before each turn, 1 arrow after the turn.

PRE-REGISTRATION check in will begin at 6:00am and will continue until 8:20am.

When you show up at Culpeper Baptist Church, the “Already Registered Check in Lines”  will be based on the Mileage you registered for – 30, 60, or 100.

Day of Registration will begin at 6:00am and will continue until 8:20am. Remember Checks are preferred – cash, exact change only – NO CREDIT CARDS. 30 miles = $50; 60 or 100 miles = $60

Burnt Ends BBQ & Deli-licious will be providing lunch only at the Culpeper Baptist Church. The 60 & 100 mile participants have lunch included in your registration fee. 30 mile participants & all family & friends, can purchase a lunch to enjoy.
